About Us

Icon Au Pair Agency is managed by Matthijs Foppen and Aika Foppen.

Matthijs and Aika are blessed with 2 children and have been hosting au pairs since 2019 from Indonesia, Philippines, and South Africa; experienced from unpleasant to great over the years. Some of their former au pair have become part of the family and share joyful and life milestone together.

This experience inspired us to start Icon Au Pair Agency and help host families with the best practices to enjoy this cultural exchange and its benefits.

We live in small village in the middle of the Netherlands, Kesteren

Matthijs is a Dutch citizen growing up in Harlingen, Friesland. Matthijs has a background in IT Consultancy in various companies.

Within Icon Au Pair Agency, Matthijs handles IND correspondence, visa applications and supporting host families.

Aika is an Indonesian citizen growing up in Medan Indonesia. Aika has a background in Quality Consultancy in the Food-, Pharmacy- and Medical industry next to working as a part-time career coach.

Within Icon Au Pair Agency, Aika is focused on marketing and communication and the Program Coordinator as well as handling Au Pair placement, supporting host families and au pairs during their stay.
